Our mission is to provide high-quality products and services to our customers by utilizing our reliable, cutting-edge engraving technologies to the full, so that we can be their best partner in creating added value.

Since our founding in 1921, engraving has always been our core technology. Through the years, we have constantly endeavored to advance and develop our technologies. To continue fulfilling our mission in today's rapidly changing market environment, we are working vigorously to maintain and improve our quality and technological capabilities by actively investing in equipment, recruiting competent staff, and providing high-level technical training for our engineers. We aim to be a company that gives our customers not only confidence in our long-standing tradition of commitment to quality, but also a sense of expectation and excitement for technological innovation.

To respond to customers' needs and requests around the world, we have established overseas subsidiaries in Shanghai (China), Thailand and Indonesia. Starting from Asia, we will expand our network to serve customers throughout the world, with confidence and satisfaction as our keywords.

History

1921 Founded by Riichi Tsujikawa, in Matsuzaki-cho, Abeno Ward, Osaka, as a sole proprietorship to manufacture dies for label printing, stamps, etc.
1929 Relocated to Abenosuji 3-chome. Commenced mass production of engraved steel plates by introducing the photo-etching method into steel engraving. The Company also devoted its efforts to training metal engraving engineers, thereby contributing to the development of the engraving industry.
1943 Regulations on the printing-related industry became severe due to World War II. The Company manufactured engraved stamps and scales for military use, as a supporting factory of FURUKAWA Electrical Corporation.
1945 Having escaped damage during World War II, the Company resumed the production of dies for label printing, patterns for batch metal, etc., immediately after the end of the war.
1947 Developed brass and copper dies for label printing.
1952 Photoengraving Department and Machine Engraving Department established. The Company imported a Deckel engraving machine from Germany for the first time in the engraving industry since the end of the war.
Apr. 1961 Reorganized and renamed Tsujikawa Engraving Co., Ltd., with Riichi Tsujikawa as President and CEO.
Apr. 1966 Head Office building and plant completed.
Apr. 1968 Commenced magnesium plate making after introducing technologies from The Dow Chemical Company in the U.S.
Jun. 1970 Hiroshi Tsujikawa inaugurated as the new President and CEO.
May 1973 Commendation received from Abeno Tax Office as an excellent corporation.
Oct. 1974 Tokyo Business Office established.
Oct. 1977 Second Plant established, with a plan to increase automation of machine engraving operations.
Nov. 1978 Commendation received for the second time from Abeno Tax Office as an excellent corporation.
Mar. 1982 New plant established in Hannan-cho, Abeno Ward, to increase the efficiency of production of cutting die cylinders.
Nov.1983 Commendation received for the third time from Abeno Tax Office as an excellent corporation.
Jun. 1984 Hannan Plant extended, and the Head Office relocated there.
May 1986 Photo Engraving Plant extended, and designated a model plant for pollution prevention by the Osaka Municipal Sewerage Bureau.
Jan. 1988 Became a supporting factory for the Mint Bureau operated by the Ministry of Finance.
Nov. 1988 Commendation received for the fourth time from Abeno Tax Office as an excellent corporation.
Nov. 1988 Commendation received from the Director of Abeno Tax Office.
Mar. 1989 Cutting Die Cylinder Department expanded.
Apr.1989 Renamed Tsujikawa Co., Ltd.
Nov. 1990 Certificate of Appreciation received from the Director of Abeno Tax Office.
Nov. 1993 Commendation received for the fifth time from Abeno Tax Office as an excellent corporation.
May 1996 Head Office building extended.
Nov. 1997 Commendation received from the Director of the Osaka Regional Taxation Bureau.
Nov. 1998 Commendation received for the sixth time from Abeno Tax Office as an excellent corporation.
Sep. 1999 Sakai Plant began operation in partnership with NAVITAS Co., Ltd., to reinforce plate-making operations.
Feb. 2000 Obtained ISO 9002 certification.
Sep. 2000 Yao Plant established in Yao City, Osaka, and the Cutting Die Cylinder Department moved there.
Nov. 2002 Upgraded to ISO 9001:2000.
Dec. 2002 Shanghai Tsujikawa International Trading Co., Ltd. established.
Jul. 2003 Shanghai Tsujikawa Engraving Co., Ltd. established.
Nov. 2003 Commendation received for the seventh time from Abeno Tax Office as an excellent corporation.
Mar. 2004 Obtained ISO 14001 certification.
Jul. 2004 Shanghai Tsujikawa Engraving Co., Ltd. opened.
Nov. 2004 Hiroshi Tsujikawa inaugurated as Chairman, Yutaka Tsujikawa inaugurated as President and CEO.
Nov. 2008 Commendation received for the eighth time from Abeno Tax Office as an excellent corporation.
Mar. 2009 Tokyo Design Center opened.
Aug. 2009 Tsujikawa (Thailand) Co., Ltd. opened.
May 2013 Tsujikawa India Pvt Ltd. established.
Sep. 2013 PT Tsujikawa Indonesia opened.
